Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is a lot more common than most people realize. More than 1 person in every 100, have this condition. Sadly, it is often misdiagnosed and mistreated. The good news is that we have a treatment that works!

We specialize in treating people of all ages who have OCD.  Many of our therapists have completed intensive training in the use of Exposure and Response Prevention (EX/RP) Therapy for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) at the Behavior Therapy Training Institute through the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF),  and The Center for the Treatment and Study of Anxiety at the University of Pennsylvania, in addition to other advanced trainings.  We also provide education for other therapists about working with children with OCD.

We are known for our ability to make the therapy fit the client (rather than the other way around)! With children, we use playful strategies to accomplish the exposure therapy. Adults often appreciate this playful approach as well.  In every case, we stay serious about accomplishing our goal – helping our clients feel better and live a life without the limitations OCD attempts to impose.

Treatment options include individual and family outpatient therapy, as well as intensive therapy in the home and/or community when necessary.

Feel free to call us to find out how we can help you conquer OCD.
