Emily Walsh-Slack, MSW, LSW is a Licensed Social Worker who enjoys working with children, teens and families. She is creative, flexible and innovative in her approach and is also a strong advocate for her clients.
Emily provides service to support change in the individual and the environment and has training in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, motivational interviewing and strength based approaches. With genuineness, empathy and respect, Emily demonstrates care and commitment for the welfare of her clients.
Emily has a background in working with vulnerable children and families. Emily’s time with the Division of Child Protection and Permanency has provided her with a wealth of experience in working with varied issues including foster care and adoption, child abuse and neglect, trauma, substance abuse and anxiety, as well as other mental health and familial issues.
Emily received a Bachelor’s of Arts in Social Work from Rutgers University and a Master of Social Work from Fordham University. Emily continues to be active in the learning process and values growth. She is currently completing the Adoption Certificate Program through Rutgers University.
Her other interests include traveling, being outdoors, reading, and spending time with her family.
