Elizabeth Cronin

Elizabeth Cronin, MA, LAC is a Licensed Associate Counselor who is dedicated to working with clients who are finding difficulty navigating through their personal identity development. Her professional work has focused around the areas of autism, learning disability management, mood disorders, generalized anxiety, gender identity-related and LGBTQIA+-related challenges.

Elizabeth provides affirmative counseling to all her clients and has the comfort, knowledge, and willingness to discuss the bridge between sexual and mental health, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, sexuality in relationships and barriers existing within these topics. Elizabeth is currently working towards her certification in sex therapy, with a specialization in supporting lesbian, gay, bisexual, Trans*, queer/questioning, intersex, asexual, and fluid members of our community.

Elizabeth also specializes in working with clients struggling with anxiety and mood disorders and is a trained behavioral analyst with 10 years of experience working with and advocating for families and children with special needs. Having held positions as an Early-Intervention Behavior Specialist and a middle school counselor, Elizabeth has an extensive background in learning theory and academic strategies.

Elizabeth is also a certified trainer in cultural-competency and inclusion providing consultation and support for therapists, educators, and medical professionals.  She welcomes the chance to meet with you to discuss the best ways to provide a welcoming, affirming space for your LGBTQIA+ clients and any challenges you may be facing when working with these communities.

Graduating Summa Cum Laude, Elizabeth received a Master of Arts in Counseling from The College of New Jersey in May 2012 where she was a Erika Pluto Diamond Women’s Advocacy and Leadership Award Winner. She is a Nationally Certified Counselor. Elizabeth is also certified in Psychological First Aide through The National Child Traumatic Stress Network and the National Center for PTSD.

Elizabeth is an avid hiker throughout NJ, NY, and PA and finds herself most happy in nature.
